Founded in May 2013, it provides mobile app analytics and user engagement products to more than 8,000 apps including The Meet Group, Premier League, Gojek, Daimler, OLX, Domino’s, and Carousell. The company is backed by Sequoia Capital, Tiger Global Management, Accel Partners, and Recruit Holdings.

CleverTap is a mobile engagement and analytics platform community for developers and marketers to use the power of data, segmentation and messaging. It combines real-time customer insights, an advanced segmentation engine, and powerful engagement tools into one intelligent marketing platform. The platform also offers blazing fast app/web analytics, powerful real-time segmentation, multi-channel messaging, A/B testing, and personalization in one unified platform.

CleverTap announced its US launch in September 2015 during TechCrunch Disrupt Battlefield in San Francisco. During this time, the company also changed its trading name from WizRocket to CleverTap. Co-founder Anand Jain met Sunil Thomas and Suresh Kondamudi during his stint at Network 18 after his previous company, Burrp, was acquired by Network 18 in 2009. Together, they started CleverTap in May 2013.
